Mission and Service at Epworth UMC

The people of Epworth UMC are constantly at work being the hands and feet of God by serving the needs of our community. If you are interested in participating in one of these opportunities, or if you have an idea of your own, please call the church office and we will put you in touch with the right person! 775.423.4714

Fallon Daily Bread

Together with many other local churches and organizations, we serve free homemade hot suppers on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays here at the church at 4:45pm. While we are sheltering in place, meals will be given out curbside for you to take home. Contact Ron or Barbara Evans at 775.423.2650 or Kathy Fraker at 775.867.3095!

HeLP Ministries (He Loves People)

Provides hot showers and laundry services on Mondays and Tuesdays in the Wolf Center. We provide all of the cleaning and shower supplies via donations, and have a small fund to help provide for other needs. Contact Jerry Noonkester at 775.224.1906 or Margaret Knox at 775.217.3391!

Food Pantry

Provides food and clothing to those in need, and is open on Mondays from 10:00am-1:00pm. Volunteers are always needed to help sort, organize, and distribute food. Call the church office to help and ask for Jerry Noonketser at 775.224.1906!

Worship at Homestead Assisted Living

When we aren't self-isolating, a group from Epworth reads scripture, sings, brings an uplifting message, and brings a loving, gentle presence to residents of Homestead long-term care. Every Sunday at 1:15pm. Contact the church office if you have any questions at 775.423.4714!

Golden Threads Clothing Ministry

Provides free new or gently used clothing to kids and adults in need. We are so glad to partner with the local foster care program especially, to provide good clothing to families in crisis and make this difficult time a bit easier. If you feel moved to join us in this good work, please contact Kelly Weiboldt or Mary Nelson in the church office, at 775.423.4714.
